Knitting Brooklyn and Tracey (tbmccarthy) are teaming up once again for Remembering Remy. This year we will be knitting and crocheting preemie hats from Feb. 23 to May 29th.
Elephant Tears project in memory of my son, Emerson! Elephant Tears collects small preemie blankets, 18-24” squares/rectangles, to donate to the birth center at the University of Colorado Hospital. These blankets will add a personal touch to the bereavement packages provided by the hospital to families who have lost a baby due to unfortunate circumstances,as well as giving those parents a very tangible item to bring them comfort in the coming days, weeks, or months. Our first donation drive is being delivered to the hospital on Emerson’s due date, July 13th!We also now have a givingartfully link! Vicky of the Dragonfly Soars podcast talked about how her son’s friend is raising money for Cystic Fibrosis (the friend’s sister has CF) this touches my heart in so many ways. I love how Vicky talks of her son, and how her son told the friend his mom is a podcaster, and knitters will help! Mostly, CF, my bff passed away from Cystic Fibrosis, I know how debilitating this genetic disease is[angelmum3](person)
